Creative Prayer Ideas
Prayer Chains
Hand Prayer
This is a simple prayer where kids use their fingers as they pray for:
Christian Dares
This is a fun way of challenging young people to be the best that they can be. Write out a bunch of dares (e.g. spend time with someone at school who you don't know well, do one thing to help out at home, thank someone who has made a positive impact on your life, etc). Put them into a container, and challenge people to draw out a dare for the week. I have included the dares that we used below.

Circle Prayer
Prayer Board
Create a board or a 'wall' where people can place prayer requests. This gets them to pray for others and acts as a visual reminder of the people who need our prayers.
Post-its are easy to use for this prayer activity. Prayer Baton
This prayer would work best in a church or youth group context. Each week two members take the 'prayer baton' and commit to praying for 30 mins each day specifically for the church and the local community. At the end of the week, the volunteers share their experience of praying. They then pass on the 'baton' to the next two volunteers. This idea was found here.
Prayer Cubes
Create a prayer cube and roll it like dice to choose what prayer to pray! This could be used for the start of a class, in the home, at a vinnies group or a youth group. I have included some A3 template that I made below for the different church seasons. Simply print it out on card and make the cube.
